Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.
We have in all of us the capacity for healing, growth, and fulfillment, but so often the lingering effects of difficult situations from the past, struggles in present day life, or worries about the future stand in the way. Many find themselves feeling stuck and unable to cope or move forward. Therapy is a way to explore and work through obstacles such as traumatic events, major life transitions, losses, and challenging personal or professional relationships, and address the resulting fear, worry, sadness, loneliness, and low self-esteem that often occur.
To assist you on this journey for healing, whether it's holding on through unexpected challenges or letting go of past traumas, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches personalized to meet your needs and preferences in a collaborative and supportive environment. Feel free to explore this website for further information about what to expect during your visit, services offered, rates and insurance, and more about me and my background.
What To Expect At Your Visit
Whatever you are going through, I am here to offer support and tools to help you feel more like yourself again. I provide an interactive and collaborative approach and recognize that you are the expert in your experience. I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual and integrate a variety of treatment modalities to meet your needs in a way that honors your goals, preferences, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity, and traditions. These modalities often include Somatic Experiencing (SE), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindfulness strategies. In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, including your current stressors, obstacles, and symptoms. We will only discuss topics you are comfortable sharing with me. Over time and at your own pace, we will begin to explore aspects of the past that may have an impact.
